banking apps work great on my de-Googled GrapheneOS phone. I have no problems with apps working.
But also I don't do a ton of banking on my phone. More something I do at home on my laptop.

I hear you. I think those people have been using the wrong argument all along.
The critical thing is not to "think of the users with JavaScript turned off," as much as it's to "think of the users for whom the JavaScript fails to load." (Because of CORS, server error, bad cache, etc.)
The users with JS turned off know they're likely to get a broken experience. But those of us for whom JS fails to load (which happens more than zero times) shouldn't get stuck with a broken experience.

idk, the number of times that some JavaScript fails to load because the CDN didn't include an ACAO header, or the server timed out, or the server returned a 503, or some other thing happened, is more than zero times. If an experience still works when that happens, that's a good thing. We can build things to be resilient instead of always relying on JavaScript that might not always be there.

Please stop making bad HTML forms. I know you really want to. Stop. I know you want to add really strict name validation. Stop. I know you want to add really strict email validation. Stop. kind of looks like this is run by someone capitalizing on the wordpress drama to collect user emails.
As for the thing they say they're making, it all points to "hey chatgpt, here's the original php source code, make this but in javascript."
