Just got my covid shot, and it was an entirely frictionless process. Just had to check a box saying I had a qualifying condition, boom. I was bracing for a fight because the woman I'm seeing apparently got one.
I'm really curious why that might be. Obviously there's too many variables to pin down. Different pharmacies, different insurance, different specific pharmacist. Maybe she just ran into rfk's strongest soldier. It could be any of these, but I'm wondering if the fact that women face more pushback in medical settings is a factor.
So I thought I'd see what people are experiencing. To be clear, this is for people under the new fda restrictions. If you live somewhere that's decided not to actively facilitate disease I'm very happy for you but your experience is not relevant to my question. And I decided to use male/non-male in the question because I expect that non-binary people get filed with women in the "can't make their own decisions" bucket.

found a mimic on Google! It didn't try to pass off an AI image as real, but it did pull a picture of an ant mimic spider from a page on cephalotes and put it in the image search results, which is no doubt exactly what the spider wanted.

it's honestly a nearly insurmountable hurdle for me. Not only am I not much of a photographer, I have never once felt good about the way I look, so what photos I do take tend to be of landscapes or cool animals. Maybe what I need to do is take a selfie in addition whenever I do a landscape

this is kinda how I'm feeling right now too. Like six or eight months ago I downloaded hinge and didn't even make it through profile creation because it wanted six photos and that's more photos than I've been in in probably five years and the prospect of taking photos specifically for it was insurmountable. I talked myself into the idea that it wasn't possible. But seeing sid has inspired me and I want to try again. Still just at the wanting to do it stage, though.
