the King James version was made around 1600 and is probably the closest that you're going to get off the shelf. There's going to be some discrepancies in it but it's not going to be as bad as the others. If you want a version that will be close enough then that's your best bet.

I usually tell people to start small, only do a little bit at a time that way it has time to process. When you do too much it's like reading a textbook almost. You don't retain a lot of what you just read when it's just layer after layer after layer. @nice-verse posts about the closest Modern English translation that you're going to get. Anything that says International is going to be secular based and have a narrative to actually steer you away from traditionalist scripture. here's another they never seem to understand , in 1975 an entry level electrician, nationwide, made roughly $11,000 a year. And 1975 the median house cost was $39,000 . That is amongst all states in everything averaged out. If you make under $100,000 in 15 states right now you are considered working poor.
I mean imagine working at GM and having enough money in 5 years to purchase a four bedroom three bathroom house with a white fence three kids and a stay-at-home wife two cars and two yearly vacations to wherever .
