as a former anarchist myself what I opposed is hierarchy and by hierarchy I mean someone telling others what to do. I was for the self-determination and autonomy of peoples, communities, minorities, and individuals. For me anarchy meant direct and consensus-based democracy and individual autonomy. That and delegates who do what the people who elected them want and if they don't they can be revoked right then and there and replaced with someone else. I came to realize that the state is necessary to suppress the capitalist class though. The state brings about unity of action and quick decision making and allocation of resources necessary to suppress the capitalist class. History proves this concept right but it also proves anarchists right in their legitimate concerns about a tyrannical or authoritarian state. This is why we need a small and limited state with separation of powers and checks and balances, among other things. I'd argue both sides should look to history for answers rather than being dogmatic.

Even though I wish I had my notes for reference I'm making progress on determining what's real. Whether our experience of cultural diversity is intersubjective or objective our experience is still of cultural diversity. And we have multiple arguments for relativism. This includes the standard inductive argument but also an argument I came across that is deductive. It simultaneously justifies relativism while undermining universalism. For me being a human and being a person aren't the same thing. Being a person means you socially interact with others and are a member of the community. Additionally you care about and for each other. That's what it means to be a member of the community and a person. This extends out to the rest of nature such as (non-human) animals, plants, rivers, mountains, etc. We're one big community with our own smaller communities a part of this larger community. It makes sense that the mind doesn't depend on the body but the body depends on the mind. It explains why some intersubjectivity exists but not total intersubjectivity. When we experience other bodies and interactions with those bodies it produces other tactile sensations beyond our mind that is a part of others' minds BUT that's not required for tactile sensations to occur. It produces intersubjectivity in that instance but things can happen independently of those kinds of instances where the experience is more exclusive to one or a few people. I'm still betting my conception of the brain is the right one. Interpreting the quantum level of the brain with relational quantum mechanics. The state of the quantum system exists in relation to the environment, including the measuring apparatus or brain imaging device. In addition to this the brain is a multi-level system with emergent and irreducible properties at each level and upward and downward causation. Parts interact and have a relational existence. Neural reductionism is the wrong approach. In reality the brain is a multi-level system with each level having emergent and irreducible properties and causation going in both directions, up and down. This will likely resolve certain unresolved problems in neuroscience. We'll figure out that they're emergent properties and that's why we couldn't identify the specific brain region responsible. I came to a definition of Modern Western life that makes sense to me. Although it would lead to conclusions modern Western biologists would reject which makes me want to reject the modern Western division between life and non-life as arbitrary. I define Modern Western life as self-sustaining matter or beings. This would include matter or beings such as the Sun though. The Sun has processes a part of the Sun that sustain the Sun. So the Sun is alive as a result of this general definition of life based on the definitions of life and death as states. Although maybe this definition is too broad. I forget if I mentioned this but I define colors as unique forms of space. If you think about it colors take up non-zero space and each color is unique relative to all other colors. Then you can specify certain colors such as red. The ontic method determines beliefs and disbeliefs with being. Nothing is assumed and everything must be justified with and correspond to being. A is A being. Not Any A is Not Any A being. If A believe in A and if Not Any A disbelieve in A. The reason why I use "Not Any" instead of "Not" is because Not A and A can and do co-exist so Not A is insufficient to disbelieve in A. A and B can and do co-exist even though B is Not A. Also A isn't a proposition but A being. For example tree is tree being and thought of apple is thought of apple being. Also I said certain forms of cannibalism because for the sake of international solidarity we should oppose accepting certain forms of cannibalism on the global scale. Human predation is the form of cannibalism I'm thinking of. How can we be united if we're hunting each other for food? We can't. It undermines international solidarity and that's why I oppose it. However, mortuary cannibalism is okay on the global scale if the practice ever spread. That being said I'm inclined to accept human predation on the same scale where certain peoples still hunt what I consider to be other humans for food. Especially if they choose to not join the communal confederation and retain their lifestyle. It's because who is and isn't human is arbitrary. I'm going to start ramping up the defense of other cultures. Whether it's lack of recursion, lack of time, lack of numbers, different conceptions of time, different logics, different religions, eating dogs, whaling, animal sacrifice, certain forms of cannibalism such as mortuary cannibalism, and possibly female genital modification. I say possibly at the end because I still oppose aspects of cultures that are supremacist, hierarchical, and bigoted. So if female genital modification is about enforcing a gender binary and sexism then I oppose it. However, I also see the ethnocentrism in people against it. Where are the people opposing female genital modification when surgeons are "fixing" intersex people to be one sex or the other? Not only are humans cognitively flexible but different beings have different cognitions. Communist science claims that we all have intrinsic value and hence intrinsic or natural rights. They aren't the natural rights found in liberalism though. At least they aren't identical. Up to now the science I embrace includes holism, relationalism, observational studies (including of artificial systems in labs), place-based knowledge, subjectivism, relativism, and all sources of knowledge. All sources of knowledge are valid and are needed for a complete or comprehensive understanding of the world. That and personally I go with my own version of subjective idealism that is relational and interactionist as well as my intersubjective relativism. I'm still thinking it through though and what egalitarian or communist science will look like. My idealism is still subjective idealism but a version different from Berkeley's. In it minds have a relational existence and the body as a subjective experience and the rest of the mind affect each other. So it's interactionist but in an idealist form. It's assumed by universalists that the universal standards for adjudicating worldviews are real and discoverable I reject that assumption as a subjectivist. That means that there are no universal standards for adjudicating worldviews yet. There can be but they'd be the product of imperialism and/or intercultural discussion. Imperialism is more likely and what we see in the world today. My natural argument is likely going to be the deductive argument. The argument is basically that cognitive adaptability is human nature and that it makes having an unchanging absolute standard of correctness for worldviews impossible. But yeah, one thing I've been thinking about is that the standard Socrates syllogism isn't necessarily sound. What if one day we attain biological immortality to where not all men are mortal? That and what about alien men that may already immortal? And if we live in a multiverse maybe there are an infinite number of men that are both mortal and immortal to where not all men are mortal. I justified the belief in the uniformity of nature by equating causation with necessitation as a rational rather than empirical relationship that can be discovered through reason or deduction.
