The whole thing about "making development accessible" is antithesis of what engineering should be. There is no place for that, it's not "collective effort" like a game of Tug O' War; you either know what you are doing or you don't, and in latter case you are better off not contributing at all, else you will mess it up or introduce technological debt that will haunt the ones that come after you. Either way your contribution is net negative.

A friend of mine was volunteering at homeless shelter. Some of those people there told him that they only go to it as a last resort, not because there is anything wrong with it, just because they can't stand the only rule there - stay sober. Back in RealSoc they would just arrest them, give them the beating in back of the alley and send to forced work/conscription, which was about the only thing they did right.

Authocracy is somewhat preferable to crooked democracy. Individual's rights and prospects are trumped in both cases. The problem is that in the latter it's difficult, if not impossible, to easily find a culprit, and steer the country clear from slipping into full-blown totalitaria or failed state.

I meant malysians. As for niggers - with heavy heart, I must admit that they are somewhat less of a subhuman than jeets. You can always go to the past, but nobody is there anymore. You can't change anything either. It's like finishing a game 100% and then realizing that you can still load save, even though the game is done, but when you do, you find out that there is nothing to do anyway and all the NPCs don't have any dialogues for you. The memory is quite important though, since it can guide us, so we won't make the same mistakes again.

I guess it's time for letting go of the past, at least for me. Sure, there were countless chances I never made use of, it even inspired me to come up with certain philosophical thought experiment about objectivity of reality and free will, it goes like this: Let's assume that there is some *apparent* possibility - however due to certain circumstances one does not make use of it and go on unperturbed. Thus, can we even claim that such possibility existed at all at that particular moment? Or perhaps the course of action was already predestined and the aforementioned bifurcation point is purely virtual, for the outcome was already known before the observer was even presented with choice.
