How do things look on your instance website? That's usually the first place to check if you are seeing the same issue there or just in Ivory.

It's unrelated to a subscription. Something @npub16ph…kcf4 can look into and maybe help troubleshoot better. But instead of closing the window, I suggest hiding it instead with cmd-h?

Sorry for the wait, but Ivory v2.4 is finally available on the App Store! Features support for the official quote posts (assuming your server is running Mastodon 4.5 or later) and we've made big improvements to fetching replies and post metadata in the post detail views.

Official quote posts are in the latest beta version of Ivory on Testflight for Mac and iOS.
We've also made some improvements to fetching more post data which includes like/boost counts and replies. When going to a post detail, you'll see a loading bar in the top right corner which shows that Ivory is attempting to load more data if available.

Also, you are missing a bunch of great Mastodon features because that server is not getting updated. Not sure why it hasn't been updated in almost 3 years. If it were me, I'd migrate to a server that is actually maintained.

The server is sending Ivory data with accent marks which it shouldn't be. That's why it seems like a result of the server being so outdated and doing things in an old way. Assuming IceCubes has support for that (or just has a workaround for that issue) since they were around long before us.

what happens when you tap on #ivory ? Based on your logs, it’s showing the hashtags you are tapping on have accent marks and other characters in them. Also your server appears to be pretty outdated and it’s possible it’s doing things in a very old way that our app never really supported. But you are the first to report this issue which I also find weird.

We know some of you are wondering where the Ivory update for iOS, iPadOS, and MacOS 26 is. We have some unfortunate news. An immediate family member was diagnosed with cancer over the summer and it has turned our world upside down. We will eventually get through this and focus on development again. Important:
TestFlight does NOT use your App Store subscription. It is completely sandboxed and you have to subscribe separately. It is a test environment and you don't get charged when you subscribe.

We could use some more active beta testers for Ivory! We just pushed an update with the following that needs testing:
- Support for the 'read later' service, Raindrop.io
- Fixed issues with the 'read later' service, Readwise.

Current fix in Ivory is to go to your Ivory account settings and tap the “Reset Account Cache” button. Hopefully this issue gets resolved soon. 🤞

Ah yes that's quite possible. Once your timeline has too big of a gap between the last loaded posts and new ones, it may not be able to properly sync. You just have to catch it back up and hopefully it will stay in sync again.

We aren't touching the text system right now. We've actually run some basic test apps and all these text replacement issues are Catalyst bugs as they don't work correctly in a basic test app either. We are busy working on revamping our notifications tab. 🙂

This is default iOS behavior. The menu order changes depending on whether it opens above or below where you tap (based on the button location on screen). If you go to the Behavior settings in Ivory, we have an option to fix that menu.

Ivory's upcoming new navigation design is currently available to test on TestFlight!
While the design of the navigation bar has changed over the years, the core concept of how it functioned has been the same since Tweetbot v1.0 way back in 2011! We've redesigned and rebuilt Ivory’s navigation system from the ground up to be faster, easier to use, and more configurable.
This will ship in Ivory v2.2 along with some other great new features!

There’s definitely something going on with your specific setup and not an issue in ivory itself. Otherwise we would have experienced this issue as well as other users. But at some point Todd will probably chime in and ask some questions or have you try some troubleshooting tasks.
