the real reason is funnier
it was because the people against the flock cameras were feuding over if trump was good or not because the Omnicause people (the ones who protest "everything" at every protest) showed up too

Interesting effortpost dropped about institutional level internet censorship calling it the "closure of the internet". It's very tl;dr but it goes into detail what many of the top social media sites did from 2015-22, and breaks it down into two phases, the post Trump/Brexit era of 15-19, and the COVID lockdown era of 2020-22.
Also it tellingly mentions that it never ended, Twitter just dialed back and everyone else has the infrastructure in place.
Of course there are also people who will deny with a smile that this actually happened.

The worst part is they're not even feds, they're the people who are given the rope to hang themselves and the freedom of speech online. This is all because platforms like Roblox not only fail to wrangle their tards, but somehow they manage to fuck it up harder.

it was big back in the dos/windows 3.x/9x days and then there was SONAR which competed against a bunch of DAWs, then they passed between Roland and Gibson (the guitar company) before Gibson's mismanagement led to them having to close and shed divisions so they were going to get shutdown and then Bandlab buys them.
I remember because I had a friend (why did everyone I know turn out crazy haha) who was really into Cakewalk SONAR (he really liked version 8.5)

"Not to mention Gab suffers from what I refer to as the “8chan problem”, or perhaps more succinctly, the “quarantine problem”. If you make a new service just for people banned from an existing service, you will end up with only that audience. What is attractive about Gab to people not banned from Twitter? Absolutely nothing. There is no reason to go there as someone unaffected by Twitter’s censorship, and furthermore, even as someone affected by Twitter’s censorship, I have no reason to go there because I know people there will mostly agree with what I have to say anyways and it will gain no traction outside of that audience."

See the pic
In Battlefield 4, the admins of servers are notorious for banning you for either not playing the game the way they want you to, or for killing them online. It's made worse by the fact you need to pay like $70-80 a month to some provider to host and can't just host it out of your basement.

I mean look at Halo doing the whole "quit ban" bullshit for CASUAL games instead of letting people join games in progress (except with the game browser, which you're lucky to get and also doesn't support mods), or CoD's trashfire of SBMM that makes everyone salty because you'll get matchmade with a team of literal kids vs some team where everyone has 2-4 KDR.
On the other hand, community servers have the BF4 problem.

nintendo shut down their marketplaces and online infrastructures before the competition has at least 2-3 gens in a row now
you can still play some early ps360 games online on the original servers you can't play a single Wii or DS game online on the original ones.

That and Trump explicitly does not want to get involved with the Iran war and Israel. Israel voted in a real war hawk that salivates at the thought of going to war and blowing shit up, and Iran's been taking a beating both with the pager attack and losing one of their biggest allies (Syria).

Imagine something getting hyped up endlessly in the political news cycle and then everyone forgets in a week, especially if you live in a richer westernized country. Ditto with "false promises" politicans are great at doing, where it feels more like a Work than something being done.
The worst that happened from Russia and Ukraine's war here if you didn't have dealings or a desire to import something from Russia (and not another East European country still allowed on eBay) was that gas went up for a while. The Tariffs are a bigger deal but shit just costs more.
