re: artifact v4 --the upstream GitHub action has a check in it that prevents it from working with non-github.com addresses, but Forgejo maintains a fork with the check removed. https://code.forgejo.org/forgejo/upload-artifact & download-artifact.

Hm... OK, probably better, I make quick unfounded assumptions since most AI projects are OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or Meta, wearing a thin disguise. 🤷

We just finished a team play through of The Roottrees are Dead, an investigative game where you "google" and explore evidence to put together a complex family tree. ~20 hrs of gameplay (in two sections; one opens up after the first).
The genre isn't for everyone, but we had a lot of fun! 🙂

The Conservative's platform has $20B estimated in collection of retaliatory tariffs in 2025, of which $150M will be invested into a "Keep Canadians Working Fund". 🤔 That seems a little out-of-balance.
Also a pretty odd $100M/yr saved by "Halt Funding to Drug Dens". The platform does not seem to expand on this anywhere I can see -- the only other mention of "Drug Dens" is to, uh, "Ban drug dens within 500 meters of schools, parks, [etc.]".

Searching for "Carbon" in the platform reveals promises, obviously, to "axe the entire carbon tax" -- including the Federal industrial carbon tax backstop. But other than that, if you're looking for a climate change policy, there isn't one. Just a vague "Technology, Not Taxes policy to reduce emissions".

On the topic of housing, "Ending the Housing Accelerator Fund" and "Ending the Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund" don't particularly sound like moves that will help increase housing supply.
So their housing plan, when it comes to actual investment, is just... "Axe the GST on New Homes Under $1.3 Million"? That's it?

Some thoughts on the Conservative Party platform...
The first line-item on their fiscal track is "Revenue gain from additional homes built." I don't know how to break it to them -- building homes doesn't add Federal government revenue. The Feds don't collect property taxes. Building more homes doesn't add any revenue unless you add *more people* for more income tax. 🤔

Would a new Open Source project be at a big disadvantage, in visibility, collaboration, and community, if it was hosted off GitHub? For example, on a #Forgejo instance. Assume with #GitHub SSO access available for account accessibility.
Forgejo is a great alternative that I like using. More usage would incline me towards contributing and improve it if any issues arise, benefiting others.
OTOH, GitHub is a fully proprietary solution that dominates this space in a way that sketches me out.

I'm not sure if the Government is aware, but the public is always going to be mad about public-sector workers -- even if they worked 8 days a week in the office. 😞 There's nothing that the public enjoys more than stories of Government inefficiency... it is an ever-lasting meme.
Meanwhile, private sector businesses are definitely not filled with bureaucracy, paperwork, ineffective middle-managers, projects that go nowhere, strategy changing on the whims of a CEO, shitty vendors...
