Here's a step-by-step guide on how to stream on zap.stream using Cloudflare and OBS:

1. Start by downloading and installing OBS (Open Broadcaster Software). For now, you can stick with the default settings, as they work fine for many users.

2. In the Sources window, add a Screen input. This will capture your screen and enable you to stream it. The screen capture feature also includes any desktop audio playing in the background. So, if you have audio playing on your desktop, it will be included in the stream.

3. If desired, you can add a microphone input (Audio Input Capture) to your setup. Choose the audio source you prefer. For example, I use an external Yeti microphone.

4. Next, sign up for Cloudflare Stream. During the registration process, you'll likely need to provide your payment details, as it's necessary for Cloudflare payments. Keep in mind that Cloudflare Stream starts at $5 with prepaid options.

5. Once signed up, navigate to Stream > Live Inputs on Cloudflare. Here, create a new Live Input.

6. After creating the Live Input, scroll down to the "Connection Information" section. Take note of your RTMPS URL and RTMPS key, as you'll need these for the OBS settings.

7. Return to OBS and go to Settings > Stream. In the "Server" input field, enter your RTMPS URL. Then, add your RTMPS key in the "Stream Key" input field.

8. Go back to your Cloudflare Stream account and access the live input you just created. Look for the HLS Manifest URL, which you should copy. This URL is necessary for setting up your new stream on live.snort.social.

9. To proceed, visit live.snort.social (or any other client you prefer) and sign in. If you encounter difficulties signing in, you can try logging in through snort.social first. Once logged in there, returning to live.snort.social should automatically sign you in.

10. At the top of the page, click on the "New Stream" button. Fill in the details about your stream, including any images you wish to host on nostr.build. Don't forget to paste your HLS Manifest URL in the "Stream URL" field. Finally, click "Start Stream" to go live!
