I mean, I grew up in a Republican household. I voted for both parties through to the Obama era while donating to libertarian policy groups. I only finally registered as a Dem on January 7th 2021.
So, I definitely see what you're talking about, in general. I just see the dems as being only like 20-30% as radicalized as their opposition, and their radicalization is mostly oppositional. Remove the dictator and give him proper due process and dems will de-radicalize naturally.

I agree with most of that. We're all a product of our history and experiences. Most of Europe would describe your definition of "moderate" to be "conservative", while in Texas, you'd be a commie, so it's all about frame of context.

But, yeah, I think a lot of the reason why he was considered a moderate was because he had mostly extremely mainline liberal views but "moderated" them with a few extreme right-wing views.

#Hurricane #Milton update: I lost power around 1 AM and the winds peaked at 3-4 AM (they were *roaring*! I kept hearing things snap, but with the whole neighborhood out of power and sheets of rain, it was too dangerous to find out what).
Huge props to Orlando Utilities Commission, though, my power was restored in just 10 hours!!! And local flooding is minimal!

However, I just read the blog post, and I stand by my comment. You claim that trying to extract accurate information from an LLM is a basic functionality test, but LLMs aren't fact/truth machines and never have been and never will be (the screw in my analogy). But they are pattern matchers and that is immensely useful as a coding tool (the nail).

By far, the most difficult #GameDev skill to master is what I call "Brain Scope".
When you first start making games, you just plug away and make something. But, by the time you get it to be fun, it's so riddled with tech debt from the unplanned organic nature of the growth. That's one end of the spectrum. 1/3

I'm from more of the game dev side than the enterprise business side, and my formative years were in the mid-2000s, so I had a very different experience:
Microsoft's XNA democratized game development by being one of the first extremely-low-cost options to bring a game to consoles.
And more lately, the embrace of cross-platform open-source software by the .NET platform has been immensely refreshing.
But then they invested in OpenAI, and now they have to recoup that investment...

Just rediscovered this video of a #TechDemo I built years ago for "3D Hockey". The idea was that you'd play #hockey in a massive glass capsule full of water in orbit around the earth. Players would have fins and swim around the stadium. Fans would get on an "audience orbital ship" that parks outside to allow them to watch. All other hockey rules applied, like off-sides and checking and etc.
I got pretty far with the demo, but struggled to find the fun.

Fun #GameDev fact, especially for #IndieDev, if you're not multilingual: You can easily test localization before you have all your translations set up by using pig latin!
1) It's super easy to programmatically convert your native language to a "pig-latinized" version.
2) It's super easy to spot text that isn't localized when everything else is pig latin
3) You can still easily decipher it without having to know another language

For this #Caturday, meet Ghost. She's a stray who's been hanging around my house so much lately that I guess she's basically my cat now. She hides from the heat under my car and gives me dirty looks whenever I need to drive it somewhere. Whenever I open my very creaky front door, 9 times out of 10, there she is, running up and asking for food/attention. Sometime soon, I may need to blow all the trust I've built with her by luring her in to get some vaccine shots...
