There was that #protest in Iceland when the women refused to work for a day(?). It demonstrated that women are important and deserve to be treated and paid fairly.
Could we do the same with all the #immigrants in #Finland ? If we all walk out of our jobs for one day, change will happen.
EDIT: I actually want to do this, not just shitpost about it. Could we get most to participate, including the ones who would not be able to afford to lose a day's income?

We always told the kids to find a helpful-looking adult, preferably with kids, in this case.
Why would it have to be police who helps them? Other people are present in the street in much higher numbers.
But then again, I want my kids to be wary of the police and not talk to them.

Is it possible to get only the 10 tooth micro spline sprocket for a Shimano Deore XT CS-M8100-12 cassette?
It it's made by some other company, that's good too.
(The cassette is bloody expensive and only the small sprockets wear out.)

I was born behind the iron curtain. In 1989 it seemed that we were going to be free and it really looked like freedom was forward and repression was backward and the world moved ever forward and eventually all of us would be free.
And now I get to see, from the inside, the West sliding backwards into fascism.

I am planning a two-week paddling trip to lake #Saimaa in the summer. I need a two-seater touring #kayak . Is there a possibility to rent a good one for a reasonable sum either somewhere there or in the capital area? Would it make more sense to buy one (and possibly sell it afterwards)?

Yesterday I had to cross central Helsinki by car and it was so fucking difficult! Lots of traffic lights, blocked/one-way roads, 30km/h limit.
This makes me happy, but also made me think why all those drivers do this every day. It's so much better on the metro or the bike road.

I inherited one of these from a previous workplace and I really like it. USB-C charging pass-through, DP and HDMI ports, and the part that is relevant here is that the Ethernet works even at boot time as well (not only with Dell machines, anything).
It's great for modern tiny laptops that have only 1 or 2 USB-C ports. (And it kinda invalidates the default big dock for 3 times the price.)

@npub19at…c8rf One of the nice side-effects of cycling a lot is getting to know the birds and their nesting places and seeing some rarer animals sometimes. Plus of course the option of stopping mid-ride to enjoy a quiet moment in a foresty patch or by the sea. This has tangible mental health benefits. Keep riding! ❤️
