Yesterday taught me that people will go to any lengths to make all sorts of wild shit up in order to attempt to hurt someone.

Here's an example. In collapsed photo #1 you can't tell that there is a link included. In photo #2 expanded - that's when you can see it. Same for any attached photos to a long enough post that gets collapsed. Can't see there are photos until you expand.
On OG no matter how long the post, you will always see the attached video and photo. (Photo #3)

Yeah, no need to do it globally just for me.
"Is it annoying enough for me to raise as a feature request?"
-Mmmm...kinda/maybe? It's not necessarily annoying, I think it's just that I'm used to it being expanded on OG.
One reason I like it expanded, is because I can see if there are photos or videos without having to click. It sometimes feels like I have to click to expand every post to see if I'm interested in it or not, when part of it is hidden by default. For me it makes for a more seamless experience. It does cause me to want to bounce back to OG for what I'm used to...but I can get used to it if I have to.

That didn't seem to do the trick, maybe it's not possible. I went pretty carefully through settings options earlier. 🤷‍♀️

Hey @flick -is there a setting to make posts automatically expanded without having to click read more?

Ok yeah Tiggy. I was familiar with her, but I had blocked her long ago. She thought I had muted her, got super offended, then slid into my DMs all threatening and berating. So she got put on the chopping block, as I ain't got time fo' dat.
I heard she'd gone at some point, this must've been why and also why I never saw the whole s/a thing. Which is honestly pretty terrifying.
As for the admin - I guess the "sysadmin" is female. That was clarified to me today. And yeah, I get it. But honestly no one else will host us. They consider us far right genocidal nazis and we're on a block list and blocked by many of the instances on the fedi automatically. Even though all most of us do is share our watercolor paintings and knitting projects lol! Very deadly stuff, that.
There aren't currently any Spinsters with the hardware to run their own server from home. So we had to go with the only person that was willing to host us. Which happened to be a guy. Of course we'd all prefer a female and if at any time that does become available option - I'm sure we'll take it.

"Actually, yes some of us did. Like when a member of poast and kiwi.cc sexually harassed a former spinster and took revenge porn of her, who subsequently left because of Alex Gleason's response. Very feminist of him. "
-Um wtaf?? When did this happen? To who? P.S. You know admin of Spinster.Club is a female, right?

Yes rest assured as Caff noted - it doesn't LOOK like the sign up goes through after capcha, because the page doesnt refresh or give you any notification, but it HAS registered you. Flick will manually approve and then you can come in! Don't worry!

It was doing that to me too. It will kick in. I think Flick has to approve it. It looks like it doesn't go through when you sign up because the page doesn't refresh or go to the homepage, but it does work. Give it a bit.
