My fellow nerds, I present to you a sneak peek of what I'm working on for OSNews (npub1mfy…hthg): a very basic HTML-only version of OSNews, served straight from HP-UX 11i v1 running on an HP c8000 PA-RISC workstation.

The amazing HP van Braam (npub1wtk…cprc) created a C program (compiles and runs on HP-UX 11i v1 itself!) that downloads the OSNews RSS feed and converts the XML to basic HTML. As you can see, the output needs some encoding bugfixing, and I may add some mild HTML styling, but the eventual goal is for you to be able to load hpux.osnews.com and use this basic OSNews version instead.
