somewhat unpopular opinion:
paid Nostr address/relay/other services providers offer you something free ones don't: a guarantee that the service you paid for will be available far into the future, since they can fund the costs of the users
(small issue with relays: since they have more of an ongoing cost, it is likely that most one-payment relays will eventually need to switch to a subscription model or require additional payment)
