Community/group homeservers.
- It's how people organize by default in the real world
- It's by far the best level to get a centralized state for social data and moderation right (and no, people do NOT all want to see their own version of things)
- It combines events and media
- On an open protocol, users can target one publication to more than just one of these (avoiding the false choice between reach and niche most platforms push creators into)

Only thing individual users should (be sponsored to) host while onboarding:
- profile pic and metadata
More protocols, same problem: who hosts the data? Nostr punts to relays. Bluesky runs a big relay. Pubky says "you host it." That's the correct answer but the hardest one. Community credit and honey-jar economics are fun but the real question is whether normies will run a homeserver. #pubky
