The system the overwhelming majority of us grew up in - parliamentary democracy, traditional capitalism - is on its way out, on the brink of self-extinction. We don't even have to fight that anymore, it's going out the door in our lifetime. The question now is whether we will have socialism or a new, worse form of plutocratic oligarchy rising from its ruins. That question will be the background for the alliances we must build and the battles we must fight.
