Yeah, but the mutual hatred stems mainly due to a cultural conflict. The portuguese really think Brazilians are lousy, low class barbarians that have bastardized the culture that they left behind after the colonization.
But tbh the main problem with Brazil is the fact that they abolished Slavery and rather than seding the negroes back to Africa, they let them stay
