I've seen some very interesting infographic maps before, which tally up all the natural resources of each region. Eastern territories were all in the double digit $Trillionz.
Likewise historical maps of Ukraine region...Eastern territories were annexed into Ukraine in 1922 methinks, Crimea 1957
