Can you prepare a simple repo with reproducer, please?
I couldn't get the same problem with my current setup. make ares and M-x arei works flawlessly in guile-ares-rs repo.
BTW, before preparing reproducer, can you please checkout guile-ares-rs repo and try `make ares` and M-x arei in some of the project's scm files?
