Well, speakers .are a huge difference on the detail of your music, so yes, they make a difference. But my money says that no matter what speakers or other system components are used, if a proper blind A/B test is done usikg the same album release on the same system putting the CD quality (44.1k/16 bit) version against the 96k/24 bit that we would t be able to spot the difference.
They've done these tests with professional sound engineers. They couldn't reliably tell the difference either.
