this is the best evidence i've seen yet that the AI hypecycle has run out of gas. this is **breathtakingly** stupid, and i'm sure these guys know it, but the only thing fueling AI hype at this point is headlines, and they will pitch whatever Neuromancer-sounding thing they can dream up if it will keep the hypecycle pumping.
