My "favorite" Monkees memory is one year they were playing at the Puyallup Fair when I happened to be there. I didn't get tickets, but sat outside the arena for a bit listening. And when they left - in cars through the fair concourse - I happened to be standing there and saw them drive by, waving to everyone. It was... strange.
