I don't believe in coincidences.
I love making eye contact with young children, there's a spark there that hasn't been smothered yet. I often do it in the supermarket while the parents are focused on finding something to put on the trolley, completely distracted.
I might pull a strange face & then smile or just simply hold eye contact longer that most adults would feel comfortable holding it.
The kids often try to get their parents attention but they're oblivious to the silent exchange that occurred. I'm a big hairy dude that can sometimes be intimidating to certain adults.
I used to think it was the way I looked that caught their attention but now I think it's my spark that they see.
I believe we choose our parents (and our children) based on the level of growth we can experience rather than the level of comfort that can be found.
I love meeting perfect strangers!
