There's no doubt the threats and concerns are very different. But the underlying inherent vulnerability of any system in which votes are cast and recorded electronically is a funadmental problem, and one that can cause very bad failures. Fortunately, there are ways to get the benefits of certain kinds of electronic tabulation but mitigate this, with things like post-election risk-limiting audits.
The big probem with this type of tabulator is that you can never be sure it wasn't hacked.
