There are good days and bad days. They come and they go. There are pleasant emotions and difficult emotions. They come and they go. There are ups and downs in all areas of life: relationships, career, leisure, finances, etc. There is always uncertainty. There is always risk.

There is also something that doesn't come and go, something subtle and illusive to the ego but ever-apparent in awareness.

Sovereignty isn't about being able to control the variables though the ego likes to think so. Sovereighty is knowing that ultimately, nothing that comes or goes matters. It can't change the essence of True Nature, that immutable, imperturbable force underlying existence.

Knowing what you are so much more than all of your experiences is the only safe-haven, the only sanctuary from the ambiguity of life.
