I don't know the source of the number plotted on the chart.

Surely for smallish LN nodes they look unrealistic, but the number of routed payments increase a lot increasing the number of channels (and their size).

Also, if you're big, you're possibly the shortest path between two nodes and can ask for higher fees.

So, there's no evidence the numbers are not real
