Free advice for anyone who has a newsletter:

if you want to expand your audience, write in a way that your subscribers can forward it on to their sister, uncle and friends.

I'm not going to call anyone out by name, but if you have a bunch of assumptions built in, know that it is limiting your reach.

I've seen multiple examples where I wanted to forward it along, but it just wouldn't resonate with the average person.

If you're just interested in preaching to choir, then you should ignore this advice. It's probably plently profitable to cater to your base.

The real question is why do you do it? Is it because you want to make a real impact, or for the money?

Either is fine, just make sure you're hitting what you're aiming for. Or don't. It's your call.
