I think that's the purpose the public commons used to serve. Is there a common place where people congregate anymore? The one pulpit that may still exist to preach at may perhaps be bars and liquor stores, but no one wants to talk about communal cooperative action there, do they?

I actually don't know. I've never seen bars as a place where good people gather, but I could be biased.
