U.S.A.F Deploys 500+ Warplanes Against IRAN – 250 Primed for Ground Invasion Air Support
The USAF has gathered more than 500 combat aircraft (fighter jets, attack planes, etc.) in the Middle East right now.
Out of these, about 250 are special planes designed for direct air support — meaning they fly low and slow to help soldiers on the ground by attacking enemy troops, vehicles, boats, or positions close to the battlefield include;
🦅A-10 Thunderbolt II ("Warthog") — Purpose-built for CAS with its 30mm cannon and ability to loiter and absorb damage.
🦅F-15E Strike Eagle and certain F-16 variants — Heavily used for precision strikes and support of ground troops.
🦅Some F/A-18s and multirole fighters carrying air-to-ground munitions.
