I agree 100%, documentation is probably the biggest thing stopping the Nix ecosystem from having more widespread adoption. Had it not been for Vimjoyer's great introductory videos, I think I would have bounced off NixOS as soon as I started trying. Even now, after I've been using Nix for about half a year, I still have issues that I just don't know how to solve. Debian/Fedora, and even Arch don't have these problems.
