I'm writing to you shivering from the cold. I want the world to see the extent of my suffering. Everything we own is soaked—our bedding, our clothes. I feel my heart stop from the pain I feel for my children. Please help me, please. Anyone who doesn't feel for humanity doesn't deserve to be called human. We're drowning. What are we supposed to do?
