There's only one thing that people hate more than being wrong - that is, other people being right.

I've become quite well acquainted with this reality as I've presented very logical reasons to my friends and family that climate catastrophism is a hoax, and that Bitcoin is the future global money.

If I'm wrong, then they could demonstrate it by asking questions. If they suspect I'm correct, they could benefit from asking questions. No questions are ever asked... Rather, they become noticably less friendly.

It's really an 'ego vs ego death' contrast. Questions are dangerous to the ego. Being wrong could mean ego death, and the ego does not want to die. Most people are enslaved to their ego, and so they turn hostile to anything that might be uncomfortable to their ego.

And, unfortunately, it means my strategy is wrong. Logical arguments backed by sources and charts isn't working - truth doesn't penetrate ego.
