At one point I followed the line of thinking that if everyone were required to identify themselves to use social media, the issue of misinformation, online harassment, and some fraud-related problems could be more easily mitigated.
I still think that way to some extent.
I understand that the counter-argument related to the need for anonymity to guarantee security is quite compelling and important. And it is precisely this that convinces me not to fully embrace the idea of ​​identification at all times.

I think there are other ways to whistleblow besides an annonimous social media profile. This is an extremely serious and complex issue, and of course, I am not proposing to exhaustively or resolve it in two paragraphs of text.

Perhaps that's why my thoughts constantly go back and forth on this subject.
