But if all the big protests like "No Kings" require getting permits (which just seems oxymoronical to me, a permit to protest), doesn't that make them rather neutered? I mean, I guess some streets get sectioned off, but its all very controlled and known ahead of time, afaik.

Curious as to your feelings on No Kings, in particular, since there's one tomorrow.
