Reading a very interesting book at the minute on philosophy “How the World Thinks”. Have only read part one so far, but half the world it seems base knowledge on reason and rational thought, half on how it actually is. And the Americans are essentially pragmatists so reality is what you make it (not quite but that’s kind of how I read it), and have the highest number of religious followers in the west. And a huge amount of self belief.
