Several things struck me about this article, but the major one was the moment she allowed herself to think of her abuser as a man. While I was never a gender believer nor aTRA, I didn't go "fully peak" for a while. It wasn't until several interactions with TIPs and a couple of crying jags of confusion and self-blame, before I couldn't take it anymore. I called myself a TERF in my diary and a weight was lifted.
