Tradescantia zebrina is a plant that can survive in most lighting conditions, but it really looks its best when grown in outdoor light. (indoors it tends to get bald and leggy, unless it's grown in a bright window.) i stuck a few cuttings in my lantana planter this year, and i was pleased with the results. this planter was growing in full sun; i also got good results in outdoor shade.
