Given just prior to Iran the US took over Venezuela (also one of China’s largest oil partners) I think this is less about saving the people of Iran or retaliation for a failed assassination attempt as it is more about furthering the petro-dollar and placing pressure on China. Something of which would be more advantageous to enhancing the global power of a shadow regime that doesn’t have a revolving door of every 4yrs, unlike a presidency. I’d say it’s more alignment. But it is also my belief that he was never truly “against” the deep state to begin with. I truly believe his friendship with the Clintons was and still is pretty close. And he was urged by them to enter the race under the GOP not to actually win as President but to completely gut the GOP and make it a landslide win for Hillary, but it somehow backfired. It’s absolutely a Uniparty and the dems vs repubs is just a charade to promulgate the illusion of choice.
