Since my 🤠 died unexpectedly in August last year, I've been adrift. I stopped working and spent the days trying to just maintain a baseline level of physical and mental health.

Since Xmas my MH (grief) had been spiraling - not dangerously, but it's been a life without joy and without a foreseeable future of joy.

My GP gave me a script for antidepressants back in September (I have a history of chronic depression), I finally got it filled and have started taking them.

Life is "better", or maybe just different...

The existential grief that was all-consuming has faded. I just don't seem to think about it anymore - which seems to allow for more space for moments of joy to linger. It's really too early to know if this will be a positive for me, my emotions and emotional responses feel a bit dulled (which is a relief TBH).

So all I'll allow myself to accept currently, is that life is now different. There's less spontaneous crying. I almost miss it.
