I don't think there is "the antichrist” but there are people, factions, and actions that are antichrist. I feel this is a very important distinction.


"The" implies singular, while there are many who are antichrist.

Christ is truth, antichrist is dishonest. There are many who act dishonestly all of them are antichrist.
