The true origin of the beef between Russia and the US is an ancient prophecy regarding the next two epochs before another great cataclysm. Said prophecy says that after the Anglo-German epoch, an Eastern region will rise to power followed by an American one. It does not says that's it's Moscow and Washington tho.
