Think I'm just going to start responding to people who "think the draft might be a good idea" because "service builds character and civic responsibilities" by suggesting we should draft them to be unpaid minesweepers in former conflict zones because it builds character and civic responsibility. It's truly amazing how slavery and authoritarianism don't count if it "builds character and civic responsibility."
