Who invented the word "purpose"? Cockroaches or humans? I see absolutely nothing wrong with the idea that the word "purpose" is entirely human-centric.
To answer your question, my feelings indicate to me that their purpose is to die under the heel of my boot. Do you happen to disagree with my judgement? Is there something about cockroaches I'm not considering? I wouldn't want to be out of touch with what's right and wrong.
