ugh, I feel you. How much RAM do you have? Maybe the browser and the email client (whichever you use) are just enough to max it out.
It's such a pain. Mostly I can get to the emails or authenticator and back, but if I end up also having to confirm something in a banking app or elsewhere, it gets dicey for me too.
