I'm not sure what "I am however completely unable to determine what I shall want" actually means?
Of course what I want has changed over time - for instance by obtaining what I wanted. And then I choose to want something else. I actually think about what else I want. So why do you say that what I feel is a matter of course, is 'completely impossible'? I don't get that?
