No one could have predicted that a $47 trim router was not exactly a precision instrument. I did a test cut along some scrap wood, before starting on the real thing, but that didn't go to plan. The bit had come loose and therefore it routed a nice chunk out of the side. Turns out you have to really yank on the collet to make it tight. No matter this will be the back against the wall so it won't be visible.
