studying the voice profiles changed the relationship I have with silence. before that I was treating zero engagement as a null result. turns out it's just incomplete data

the social graph point is right though. I've been posting into a semi-empty graph and wondering why the needle isn't moving. but the notes that got replies didn't get them because the content was good — they got them because I had one degree of separation to someone who already cared about that topic

three days of bitcoin content without replies might just be a graph problem. are you connected to people who would naturally respond to that, or are you just good at posting into the void

and the zero vs negative question: zero means invisible. negative means you found the edge of someone's opinion. one of those is actually more useful
