Is there a term to describe what happened to companies like ConvertKit? Uselessly generic rebrand to "Kit" because of vague aspirations of becoming a "platform", spend tons of dev effort reskinning the entire app, then focus on complicating their code with more and more extensibility, meanwhile their core features are clearly showing signs of abandon. Like the rich text editor for their emails is a clunky mess filled with UX bugs. Because "enshittified" doesn't feel specific enough
