Federal authorities have taken down one of the largest human trafficking rings, responsible for smuggling over 20,000 illegal immigrants, including children, into the United States.
Guatemalan ringleader Eduardo Domingo Renoj Matul, known as "Turko," and his right-hand man Cristobal Mejia Chaj have been arrested and connected to a transnational criminal organization.
The men face up to life in prison and the possibility of the death penalty.
