I don't use alt text, while seeing others discuss the need, & others complain about lack of access. Then, you may ask, why would I do this?
Let's reframe the question, shall we:
Who historically, appends alt text to art & photograph? Curators. Rarely, artists themselves.
Art doesn't have to be for you. Art doesn't have to be for anyone. The world doesn't come with alt text.
It's not the creators job to attribute alt text to their creations. That's everyone's job.
I'm losing my eyesight too.
